2017-18 Officers and Board Induction

For the past 96 years, the devoted members of the Hilo Woman’s Club have served those living in and around Hilo. From establishing parks and creating what is today’s Humane Society to supporting higher education via scholarships and everything in between, these women live to serve and make our community a better place. A new slate of officers and board members were recently inducted by community leader Helen Hemmes at a ceremony and luncheon held at the Hilo Yacht Club. Under the direction of President Jennifer Tanouye the club membership looks forward to another year of doing what they do best: supporting the arts, education and families since 1921.

Thank you Hilo

This past Saturday, May 16th, we had a very successful Rummage Sale to raise funds for our community donations coffers. A shout out of thanks to hardworking HWC members who labored Thur.-Sat. to prepare and hold the event; to members of the community for donating and attending, and of course the continued support of the newspaper and radio stations and their community events staff. We cannot accomplish our mission alone. We appreciate your never ending support.

Look for exciting fall events on our calendar soon.
